Sissy Imann wants to let go of her new album, heartbroken over criticisms

25 Jan – Extremely heartbroken over the criticisms regarding her performance on a recent reality show, singer Sissy Imann is now letting go of her upcoming album.

On 23 January, the singer shared a photo of her upcoming physical CD, which she revealed to have been recorded at the Abbey Road studio last year, writing, "2/2/2023 is supposed to be the day that I release my official merchandise for an album that I've recorded... The physical CD has been printed, we are currently printing mugs, t-shirt, and several other merchandises. We were planning to gather all of our media friends and close friends to do a press conference to share the album that I had been working on."

Sissy stated that she was excited about the album, that is until it dissipated following the recent criticism she got in her performance with cousin Naim Daniel in a reality show where family members perform together.

"When I woke up this morning, I can't even look at the CDs. Originally, I wanted to sell it for RM50 [per CD], and even that would not break even, let alone make any profit. This album cost a lot and I used my own money that I made from the ten years in this industry. But I can't even look at it without feeling sad, so I am letting this album go as a donation," she added, saying that the donation will start at RM20 to cover the costs of printing and postage.

Many took to the comments section to console the singer, including fellow singers Ernie Zakri, Sharifah Zarina, and Kaka Azraff, with the former writing, "Embrace the difference. You're different and that makes you special."

In a previous post, Sissy stated that she can't see herself stop doing music, but that it felt like it doesn't love her anymore.
