A loud siren wailed in Japan’s Niigata Prefecture on the morning of November 3, amid warnings of a North Korean missile launch.
Media, citing South Korean Joint Chiefs, reported North Korea launched an unidentified ballistic missile toward the Sea of Japan on November 3.
Civil protection information released by the office of Japan’s Prime Minister urged residents in prefectures including Miyagi, Yamagata, and Niigata to evacuate inside a building or underground.
