18 Nov – Hong Kong singers were elated over the news that the Metro Radio Hits Awards will be holding a physical event this year.
As reported on Mingpao, Jason Chan Pak Yu, who was among performers who missed attending music awards due to the pandemic, stated that he is happy to be able to participate in such an event again this year.
"But I am also worried about having a large gathering during the pandemic," he said.
Pakho Chau expressed, "I am glad to be able to participate in music awards again. Hopefully this year will bring some good and I can return the support of my fans."
Vincy Chan said, "I think the preventive measures will be done efficiently. I am looking forward to meeting other singers at the ceremony."
Meanwhile, Grace Wong, who made her music debut under the stage name G. Racie this year, stated that she would still attend the event even if she has not been nominated in the Best Newcomer category.
"I don't mind. I am just excited to attend and to learn," she added.
Metro Radio recently announced that it will be holding its annual event this 30 December at a mall, with 50 awards to be tentatively handed out. Although no seats for audiences will be provided, the organiser stated that they welcome spectators to watch the performances at the events.
