KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 — Singer Zamani's scoliosis surgery on Monday (Nov 7) was a success.

The matter was confirmed by his wife Nur Juliana Abd Rani via Instagram.

In the post, Juliana thanked everyone for their prayers following the success of the operation, which was completed at about 3.15pm.

According to Harian Metro, the 51-year-old had previously revealed that he might not be staying long at the hospital.

"Maybe I will be hospitalised between three and four days before being discharged. Doctors said if I am lucky, I can even drive on day two after the surgery," he said.

The Gerimis Mengundang singer said his recovery is expected to take between two and six weeks.

"To be fully healed and able to work again will take between two and three months," he added.

Zamani chose to undergo the surgery after he found it difficult to sleep as his bones pressed against his heart, making it hard for him to breathe.
