KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 — Malaysian singer Shila Amzah is taking a break from social media, claiming it has become toxic for her.

The 33-year-old announced her decision via a post on her Instagram story that was posted yesterday.

“I’ll be off from social media for awhile. It has become quite a toxic place for me to be at.”

“So chow for now. Take care everyone and have a good day,” she wrote in the post, without elaborating the reason for her decision.

However, mStar reported that Shila or her real name Nurshahila Amir Amzah, made the decision after she was criticised over her dressing when performing at the Hausboom Music 2023.

During the event at Sepang International Circuit, Shila had worn a pink shirt over a white t-shirt.

However, social media users took offence at her dressing, claiming it was not suitable with her tudung wearing image.
