Singer Gives Impromptu Performance of 'Stand By Me' at Houston Cellphone Store

A Texas woman gave an astounding performance of Ben E King’s Stand By Me at a Cricket Wireless store in Houston on November 29.

Aria Hope told the media that someone in the store asked her to sing after she told them about a karaoke competition she had just left. She was then caught on camera belting out the 1961 hit, which is what she also sang at the competition, reports said.

Hope, a 30-year-old singer and actress born in North Carolina, moved to Houston in 2016, according to her Facebook bio. This video shows Hope singing, dancing, and hitting some impressive high notes at the Cricket store. Credit: Cecilia Vidal via Storyful
