KUALA LUMPUR, September 20 — Award-winning singer Ariana Grande, 30, has officially parted ways with her husband Dalton Gomez, 28, after two years of marriage.

The pop star and the real estate agent both filed for divorce simultaneously on Monday under the grounds of ‘irreconcilable differences’ with Grande filing for divorce first and Gomez later followed suit according to TMZ.

The official date of their separation was listed as February 20, 2023.

News of the couple’s separation have been going around since July this year and according to People, Grande and Gomez were taking their time together to slowly work through the details of the agreement privately.

"They’ve been really caring and respectful of one another through every step of this process,” a source said.

The 7 Rings singer started dating Gomez in January 2020 and made their relationship official after appearing together in Justin Bieber’s Stuck with U music video which came out in May that same year.

The couple then announced their engagement in December 2020 before tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in May 2021.

Grande is now reportedly dating actor and singer Ethan Slater, who’s also Grande’s co-star in upcoming musical film Wicked which is set to release in November 2024.

Slater had also just recently filed for divorce in July with his wife of four years, Lilly Jay, whom they just welcomed a child with in January this year.

However, People reported that the couple’s new relationship began only after Grande’s separation from Gomez and Slater’s separation from Jay.

This is not the first time Grande had gone into a relationship with a co-star as she was previously engaged to comedian Pete Davidson in May 2018 after meeting him during her time on Saturday Night Live.

Their engagement was later called off in October that same year.
