SINGAPORE — Singaporeans who are eligible for the Care and Support Package will be receiving their cash payments from 18 June.

Those who qualify will receive either $600 or $300 to help with their household expenses, said the Ministry of Finance (MOF) in a press release on Thursday (4 June).

Additionally, parents with at least one Singaporean child aged 20 and below will receive an extra $300, while those aged 50 and above this year will get an extra $100 in place of the earlier announced PAssion Card top-up.

The cash amounts will be paid via PayNow. Those who have not yet registered their NRIC numbers with PayNow can do so via their bank’s mobile bank app or Internet banking platform by 11 June, said MOF.

Those who do not register their NRIC numbers with PayNow by 11 June but have previously provided their bank account details for receiving payouts will receive their Care and Support sums via direct bank crediting.

They may update their bank account details for receiving government payouts at https://go.gov.sg/csp2020 by 17 June. The remaining group will receive their payouts via cheque between 30 June and 9 July.

MOF added that those looking to donate their Care and Support Package sums can do so at Giving.sg.

More information can be found on the Care and Support Package website and those with further queries can also call 1800-2222-888.

Separately, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat said in a Facebook post that he hoped the payouts would “alleviate the expenditure concerns of our families”.

He added that he would be debating the recently announced $33 billion Fortitude Budget – aimed at helping workers and businesses through the COVID-19 period – in Parliament on Tuesday.
