Simone Biles Unveils Her Under-Construction Laundry Room in Home She’s Building with Husband Jonathan Owens

The Olympic gold medalist has been sharing construction updates on her new Texas home since September

Another room in Simone Biles’ dream home is taking shape!

On Tuesday, the Olympic gold medalist, 26, shared a few construction updates on her Instagram Story of her new Texas home that she’s building with her husband, Jonathan Owens. Biles has been documenting the progress of her waterfront home on social media since September.

The series of photos and videos revealed the bare bones of a laundry room that is starting to come together. As she pans around the space, the view from the window overlooking the home’s surrounding lush greenery can be seen.

“Laundry room,” she captioned the clip, followed by a heart eye emoji.

In an earlier shot, she appears to have brought her dog with her to admire the sliding glass doors and drywall at the construction site.

The house update comes after Biles hit a major setback in the construction process at the end of November. She documented some of the issues on her Instagram Story and revealed that a 30-minute site visit ended up taking her six hours.

“I thought it was going to be a 30 minute thing bc I had no clue what I was walking into,” she captioned one video that showed off the home’s high ceilings.

“Called my dad for backup yesterday bc I panicked! but I’ve made so much progress & I’m so proud of myself,” she continued. “jonathan will deal with the end result oops……..I hope I did it decently & thought of all the things.”

Biles and Owens, 28, officially tied the knot in April at a courthouse in Houston, followed by an extravagant second wedding in Mexico a few weeks later. They first met on the dating app Raya in March 2020.

Earlier in December, Owens received criticism for saying he considered himself the "catch" in their relationship while appearing on The Pivot podcast alongside his wife. Despite the backlash Owens’ comments are receiving, the couple doesn’t appear to be fazed.

Last week, the Green Bay Packers safety shared a series of photos of himself and his wife on their wedding day and throughout their relationship along with the caption, "Unbothered 😂❤️ Just know we locked in over here 🤞🏽."

Biles shared the post on her Story and commented: "🤞🏾💋 for life."
