Silver medallion to mark 55 years of NS launched by Singapore Mint
SINGAPORE —The Singapore Mint has launched a silver medallion to commemorate 55 years of National Service (NS55).
The NS55 20gm 999 fine silver medallion features on one side five servicemen representing the Singapore Army, the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and the Singapore Police Force, Singapore Mint said in a media release on Thursday (28 July).
The reverse side of the medallion features the NS55 Logo and the period 1967 to 2022, marking 55 years of NS.
The medallion is available for pre-order at $80. All past and present NSmen, NSFs, Regular MINDEF/SAF servicemen and Regular HomeTeam uniformed officers can buy the medallion at $70 at The Singapore Mint retail shops.
NSmen and NSFs can also buy the medallion with the use of LIFESG mobile app NS55 credits at $55. The medallion will be available at Singapore Mint retail shops from 20 August onwards.
Singapore Mint is also extending other promotions for NSmen and NSFs from now until 31 August.
