Shunned by fans, Pakho Chau has no hard feelings
19 Jan – Pakho Chau has no hard feelings despite receiving continuous backlash from netizens who felt cheated over his previous pro-China statement.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who spoke to the media after winning Most Popular Singer alongside Hubert Wu at the TVB Jade Solid Gold Awards, stated that he had seen the response from netizens and friends alike and would rather not comment on it. Instead he hopes that everybody would find an ideal life.
Speaking about fans withdrawing support from him - causing the numbers of his Instagram followers to plummet by the tens of thousands, Pakho said that he is only grateful for their support over the years.
"Of course I am sad that people who used to support me are now disappointed with me. But I will continue going forward. We should not worry about unhappy things that could affect our future plans. There are many people behind me and my well-being could affect my team as well. So when I am on stage, I must be confident and make a happy life for myself," he said.
Pakho added that his wife and daughter also gave him the energy to continue on.
"[My daughter's] happiness, safety, and peace are my top goals in the past two years," he said.
