Social media is filled with “what I ordered” vs. “what I got” memes where people share their biggest online shopping fails.

But a TikTok user named Bailey just won the award for the most epic “product did not match the description” moment.

“Hello everyone, I made a TikTok account just so that I could share what just happened to me, because I’m the most perplexed and confused I’ve ever been in my entire life,” Bailey said in a TikTok video, which has gone viral with 818,000 views.

Bailey explained in the TikTok how the situation unfolded after she received an email from Saks Fifth Avenue offering her 15% to 20% off one item.

She said she wanted to take advantage of the discount, so she ordered a Dolce & Gabbana ashtray for $225. “I don’t need to hear the judgment, that’s what I wanted so that’s what I picked,” she said of the pricey pick. [Editor’s note: It really is a beautiful ashtray.]

On Jan. 28, the package was delivered. However, when unboxing the Saks package – which was covered in cellophane – Bailey had a jump scare. Instead of her designer homeware, she got a can of Bumble Bee tuna. Yes, tuna.

Bailey shows in the video the packaging the ashtray arrived in: a black box with the Dolce & Gabbana Casa logo in white. She clarified that she had to use a kitchen knife to cut the plastic wrapping open.

“This is the back, you can see it’s Mediterranean porcelain, made in Italy, supposed to be this blue and white ashtray,” she said. “However when I opened it um this is what I found, a can of tuna, of albacore tuna.”

“And there’s a ring in the form…but there's nothing underneath, it’s just the tuna,” she continued.

She added: “I don’t know if someone from the warehouse took it and replaced it and did some cellophane with the hairdryer, I don’t know but this is the most f-cking expensive can of tuna I’ve ever bought.”

In a statement to PEOPLE, a Saks spokesperson said, "We take our customer experience very seriously. Across the retail industry, there has been an increase in online fraud, particularly related to returns. Luxury continues to be a target given its high price points, and as such, we have implemented more rigorous steps in our return process, including additional reviews and stronger authentication.

"Our highly automated fulfillment centers manage millions of shipments every year, but it is not acceptable for even a small number of our customers to have this experience. Regarding the Dolce & Gabbana ashtray, given the unusual nature of this situation, our team carefully investigated and it appears that the item originally sent to the customer had been a fraudulent return. Upon learning of the situation, our team made a replacement order on behalf of the customer. We apologize for any inconvenience as this is not reflective of the luxury shopping experience for which Saks is known.”

Since posting, more than 3,000 people have commented on the TikTok to share their thoughts on the situation, which Bailey is calling “Tuna-Gate.”

“Kinda fishy,” one person replied. “Crack that can open, empty is out, girl you got yourself an ashtray,” another comment said.

“Never in a million years could I have predicted this,” someone else wrote.

Hoping to get to the bottom of the incident Bailey reached out to Saks customer service via email, text and through the website. She posted their responses in a follow-up TikTok.

“I received my package but it was the wrong item. It was a can of tuna. And it was supposed to be a Dolce & Gabbana ashtray,” one of her messages to the company read.

“Hello there! I am really sorry to hear that happened, I will be more than glad to assist you with this,” Saks replied.

On Feb. 2, Bailey took to TikTok again to share another update. In the video she filmed herself opening another package from Saks that arrived at her doorstep that day. “I’m so scared right now,” she said, cutting open the box.

“It looks like the same box,” she added. “Here’s this, it’s not wrapped in plastic. Don’t know what that means.”

However, this time around Bailey was relieved to see that lying in the box was the ashtray. "Thank god!” she said.
