Shin Lung asks everybody to give his family some space

30 Mar – Taiwanese singer Shin Lung recently broke his silence over the death of his wife Serina Liu, pleading the media to give the family some space to mourn the loss.

As reported on Kwongwah, the singer, who had a short interview with a Taiwanese media at the memorial hall, stated that his in-laws are in their 70s and 80s and should not be disturbed with questions that could further devastate them about their daughter.

"They can't take too much and we can't afford another tragedy," he said.

The same goes to their four-year-old daughter Ni Ni, said Shin Lung, who is still too young to face such a thing.

"Please let her have her own privacy," he added.

He also dismissed claims that Serina didn't have medical insurance, and that he is now facing financial difficulties due to the bills.

"If this claim is true, how was she able to go to the doctors if she doesn't have insurance? I am grateful to everybody for the encouragement. I will always remember how you all send your prayers and thoughts for Serina," he added.

Serina Liu passed away on 22 March following a coma after undergoing heart valve repair surgery. She was 44.
