Shila Amzah and Ubai got engaged amid breakup rumours
29 May – Following speculations that she and social media influencer Ubai have broken up, singer Shila Amzah surprised many by revealing that the two are now engaged to be married.
On 27 May, the singer shared several photos from their engagement ceremony, denying once and for all the notion that they have called it quits on their relationship.
"Ubai and I wanted an intimate engagement ceremony. Praise be to God, everything went well. We'd like to apologise if there are any weaknesses on our family part. Lastly, thank you to everybody who prayed for us. May we be strong in facing everything in the future," she added.
Meanwhile, Ubai also shared several images from the event and captioned it, "Praise be to God."
Fans and friends alike took turns to congratulate them, including Haziq Hussni, Janna Nick, Khai Bahar, Zarul Umbrella, and even Indonesian singer Rossa, the latter who posted, "Congratulations."
Shila set tongues wagging last week after she posted a photo with Ubai and wrote, "I only pray for the best for you, I pray for you to be blessed and may you get everything you wish for. Thanks for everything. I will always remember this memory."
She later deleted the post and assured that everything is well between them.
