Shila Amzah expresses sadness over loss of future mother-in-law
1 Aug – Shila Amzah recently took to social media to express her sadness over the loss of her future mother-in-law, Rohani binti Jamal.
On 30 July, the singer posted a black and white photo from her engagement ceremony, where she and fiancé Ubai's mother sat next to each other.
She wrote, "Mum, thank you for lending your time. It's just one more week until Ubai and I would be married. You are a good and caring mother, a good wife, daughter, sister, and friend to all who love you. I love you lillahitaala. Safe journey to the Hereafter."
In another video shared on 31 July, Shila spoke about Rohani, saying, "When your son died two months ago, you were the strongest among us... You said, 'It is us who are still alive who have to continue living and appreciate those that we have with us.'"
It is noted that Ubai lost his brother, Muhammad Azrullah in an accident back in May.
The social media influencer announced his mother's passing on 30 July, writing, "It's tough for me to bear, but I will accept it. Rest, mother. You are a good mum, and everybody was happy when they were with you. I will remember all of your advice."
Rohani was revealed to have been battling third stage ovarian cancer prior to her passing.
