Shelter Dog Reunites with Familiar Face After Friend Sensed They 'Needed to Look' For the Pet
The mother of Kano the dog's former owner followed her intuition and looked for the canine online, finding him at LifeLine Animal Project

Kano the dog reunites with an old friend at LifeLine Animal ProjectKano is back in loving arms thanks to an intuitive friend.
The dog arrived at DeKalb County Animal Services in Georgia several months ago. After weeks of waiting for a home at the facility, the pet was transferred to a LifeLine Animal Project adoption center in Atlanta.
Kano hadn't been at LifeLine Animal Project long before a familiar face walked in the door. The mother of Kano's former owner spotted the dog on the organization's website after having a gut instinct to search for the pet.
"I just had an intuitive sense that I needed to look for him. I randomly started looking online one night and I found another dog that looked like him. I found the LifeLine website and started going through it, and there he was. I emailed and came the next night after work," the woman explained about how she found Kano, according to a Facebook post from LifeLine Animal Project.

Kano the dog cuddling with the mother of her former owner at LifeLine Animal ProjectThe organization added that the woman told LifeLine that Kano used to belong to her son, who lived in the Blue Ridge mountains. When her son joined the Army, the woman took over the care of the "most loving dog."
Unfortunately, the woman, who is not identified in LifeLine's social media post, had to rehome Kano due to family commitments at the time shortly after her son left.

"Not long after" finding a new home for the canine, the woman sensed that Kano needed help, she told LifeLine Animal Project, which led her to look for the pet online.
The woman is now in a living situation where she can look after Kano, so the dog left LifeLine Animal Project and moved in with his old friend.

I tell him every day I'm sorry. I was doing the best I could do at the time, and I love him so much! I still feel the guilt, but I hope he knows and feels my love for him," the woman said, per LifeLine Animal Project.

The organization also noted in its post that now Kano has a fenced backyard to enjoy and has reconnected with his old owner, the woman's son, over FaceTime.
"Witnessing Kano's reunion with his family and the recognition and joy in Kano's face was an incredibly heartwarming experience all-around," Lifeline Animal Project concluded its Facebook post about the happy reunion.
