Sheila Majid warns fans of fake news article about her

21 Mar - Sheila Majid recently took to social media to warn fans over a fake news article that has been circulating on the internet.

Sharing a screenshot of the article, which read, "Bank of Malaysia sues Sheila Majid for her statement in a live TV show", the jazz queen wrote, "This is a HOAX. I have had many concerned friends and family inquiring me about this article, therefore I am compelled to tell you once and for all that this is a SCAM."

"In the 1st place there is no 'Bank of Malaysia' in Malaysia, and I am not a millionaire as this article has made it out to be (although I wish I was) Lol! If I can make millions with this 'tip', why would I still be singing? I have never been involved in any of these alleged investments (nor should any of you). This is just a click bait for others to join in this bogus scheme. Please be careful," she expressed.

Sheila assured that everything is fine with her, and that she hopes her post will put a stop to all the speculations surrounding the fake article.

This is not the first time that a Malaysian celebrity had to clarify the situation concerning fake news articles. Back in January, Neelofa warns fans of a fake article about her being sued by the same fake bank, saying that it was nothing more than a scam.
