'Sheer Terror': Chief Hugs Distressed Driver After Police Pursuit
A police officer in Hodgenville, Kentucky, hugged a distressed driver after a police pursuit on February 10, this footage shows.
Hodgenville Police Department said it used a rolling roadblock tactic to bring the chase to an end after the driver fled from units in a neighboring county.
Posting the footage, police said this was a “great example of keeping your emotions in check at the end of a pursuit.”
“The look on her face was of sheer terror,” Chief James Richardson said. “She was shaking and it was obvious she was scared. I talked to her to calm her down and then she hugged me. That has never happened to me after a pursuit.”
