Is Shania Twain's "That Don’t Impress Me Much" getting a redo?

During an appearance on the BBC podcast Sidetracked with Annie and Nick on June 3, the country star, 58, teased that a new celeb heartthrob may get a callout in her 1997 hit song. In the track, Twain croons, "OK, so you're Brad Pitt / That don't impress me much."

In the interview, Twain was asked that if she was writing the lyrics now, would she swap out Brad Pitt for another man? She teased that she may do so while she performs the song during her upcoming set at the Glastonbury Festival in England on June 30. “I would say Harry Styles . . . and it sings good too,” said Twain.

She explained, “I sort of see Brad Pitt as a James Dean of his generation and I see Harry Styles as that as well. He’s rugged, but pretty, it’s like a charm that he has.”

Twain also confirmed that it wouldn't be the first time that she swapped out Pitt for another person. “At a live show, I cheekily [sang] Ryan Reynolds since he was there," Twain recalled. "It was very cute,”

In a January 2023 interview with Today.com, Twain recalled meeting Styles, 30, backstage at one of his shows when “he was just really on his way up." Styles said that he listened to Twain's music with his mom while growing up.

In a 2017 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Styles said that his “music and fashion [were] influenced [by] Shania Twain. I think she's amazing."

Styles later covered "Still the One" with his then-opening tour act Kacey Musgraves in 2018 and asked Twain to call his mom in honor of her birthday. Twain told Today.com in 2023 that the pair "stayed in touch ever since.”

Twain also shared in a 2023 interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that she “almost missed” the Coachella performance because “I was out of the country for that first weekend.”

“I said, 'Well, I'm not going to be there [the first weekend], but I'll come on the second weekend,' Twain explained. “He said, 'OK,' and then he comes back to me and says, 'I really want you to do the first weekend.' Like, 'Is there any way?' And I'm like, 'Ah.' You know?"

"I didn't realize the significance of that moment. I just saw it as a moment to get together with Harry, but I didn't see it as such a landmark moment . . . It was such a wonderful surprise, everyone's reaction."

Twain is set to perform at Glastonbury Festival along other artists like Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA and more.
