Shahir Zawawi is now engaged to be married
18 Jul – Singer Shahir Zawawi recently admitted that he is engaged anew, though kept mum about the woman of his choice.
The "Akademi Fantasia" alumnus, who spoke to the media recently, said that the engagement ceremony was recently held at the woman's family home in Tawau and were only attended by family members of both sides.
"Praise be to God, everything went well. The event started after Zuhur and there were only six of us from my family. As for who she is, I will announce it when I am more prepared," he said.
When asked about the wedding plans, Shahir said that he doesn't want to wait too long.
"The engagement ceremony was only held because we wanted to experience being betrothed. What I can say is that we do not want to wait long before getting married," he added.
It is noted that prior to his new fiancée, Shahir was romantically linked to Erra Fazira. However, back in 2019, the actress said that the two of them have already ended things with each other.
