Trees were downed and buildings damaged as severe weather ripped through South Carolina and surrounding states on February 6, local media reported.
A variety of severe weather warnings were issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) for South Carolina, including a tornado warning and flash flood warning. Tornado warnings were also issued for North Carolina and Georgia.
Strong winds overturned semi-trucks, knocked down power lines, and split trees throughout Spartanburg, a city in northern South Carolina, local media reported.
