Severe Thunderstorms Hit Kentucky as Deadly Tornadoes Sweep the South

A system of severe thunderstorms and isolated tornadoes brought large hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain to Kentucky and Tennessee on Monday, March 2, local media reported.

This video shows lightning over the southern Kentucky city of Glasgow late Monday night. The area experienced considerable damage from the storm, local media said.

A survey team was scheduled to observe the damage in southern Kentucky on Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.
