Several Killed in Southern Thailand Flooding

At least five people were killed in flooding across the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, after several days of prolonged rainfall left more than three feet of water in some places, according to local reports.

Reports said the province’s governor confirmed at least 47,939 people in 351 villages were affected by the six days of heavy rain, with floodwaters reaching up to 40 inches in Thai Sam Phao.

The Royal Thai Army said they conducted evacuations and distributed aid to people in flooded regions of southern Thailand on December 3.
