IPOH, Nov 22 — A total of 10 Perak elected representatives were today sworn in as executive councillors in the first unity government between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN).

The swearing-in ceremony was held at 11.30pm at the Istana Iskandariah in Kuala Kangsar.

The new line-up consists of seven PH and three BN members.

The PH members are: Woo Kah Leong (Pasir Bedamar-DAP), Loh Sze Yee (Jalong-DAP), A. Sivanesan (Sungkai-DAP) and Teh Kok Lim (Aulong-DAP), Sandrea Ng (Teja-PKR), Mohd Azlan Helmi Helmi (Tualang Sekah-PKR), and Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin (Sungai Rapat-Amanah).

The BN members were all from Umno: Datuk Mohd Zolkafly Harun (Lintang), Salbiah Mohamed (Temengor) and Khairuddin Abu Hanipah (Belanja).

The portfolios of each will be decided after the first exco meeting.

Datuk Mohamad Zahir Abdul Khalid from Umno will continue to serve as the caretaker speaker until the first state assembly session.

Canning assemblyman Jenny Choy from DAP has been appointed as the state deputy speaker.

PH won 24 seats while BN won nine seats in last Saturday’s state election that was held concurrently with the 15th national polls.

Both coalitions were able to form the state government with 33 seats.

The remaining 26 seats were secured by the Perikatan Nasional coalition.
