Selena Li nominated at the 2019 Canadian Screen Awards

13 Feb – While she has yet to receive any recognition from TVB, Selena Li seemed to be doing well outside of Hong Kong.

After winning Best Actress at the European Cinematography Awards and Los Angeles Film Awards, HKET recently reported that the actress has now been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the Canadian television crime drama, "Blood and Water" at the 2019 Canadian Screen Awards.

Speaking about the nomination, Selena admitted that she is honoured to be acknowledged by such a prestigious awards.

"It's very rare to get a nomination at a high-profile awards ceremony in Canada. But because I grew up in Canada, it really means a lot to me. God is great. After winning two awards in the United States, I am getting a nomination in Canada. This is really a great encouragement for me," she enthused.

The actress expressed hope that she will continue to share more good news in the New Year.

Currently busy filming new drama, "Forensic Heroes IV", Selena stated that she hopes that the filming would wrap up before the ceremony so that she could participate in the event.
