Selena Lee had a hard time playing prostitute in new drama
19 Sep – Selena Lee admitted that it was challenging playing a prostitute in her upcoming TVB drama, "Barrack O'Karma".
As reported on HK01, the actress, who spoke to the media at the promotional event of the said drama recently, stated that while she plays a 1960s prostitute and a flight attendant in the drama which is set in two different timelines, it was the role of the former that was the harder between the two.
"I had to wear a qipao all the time, so I had to make sure that my body stays slim. I also had to do a lot of passionate scenes with Joel [Chan] and be flirtatious with all the customers - sitting on their laps and touching them," she said.
Selena said that it was really difficult for her to overcome at first due to her nature, but decided to let it go for the sake of the character.
Another challenging thing she had to do for the role was smoking cigarettes.
"I don't smoke in real life and it made me really dizzy. It was really hard for me to do," she said.
