Selena Gomez Wears a Black Leather Trench Coat to Latinas in Hollywood Event
On Saturday night (November 15), Selena Gomez was a guest at the Latinas in Hollywood event hosted by Netflix and ELLE at Tudum Theater in Los Angeles. For the occasion, the actor wore an all-black ensemble, complete with a luxurious oversized black trench coat featuring a large furry collar. On her feet were a pair of black pointed boots, and the star wore her hair down in her freshly chopped black bob.
The big night included a toast to the cast of Emilia Pérez from the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Nina Garcia, who also highlighted ELLE’s Women in Hollywood cover stars: Selena, Karla Sofía Gascón, and Zoe Saldaña. Along with Adriana Paz, the trio stars in the new film by French director Jacques Audiard about a woman named Emilia, who transitioned into living as a woman after establishing herself as a powerful cartel leader. Sel plays her former wife.
In an interview with ELLE, the actor shared that the group quickly bonded on set while filming.
“The sisterhood ended up becoming what got us through,” she began. “It’s still getting me through. I’m so glad that I’m not doing a bunch of scary things on my own.”
Discussing her career highlights, the Disney Channel alum admitted that the film has been a major step for her. Plus, it’s also made her realize how much she’s accomplished since her early days with the network.
“Being in this moment with these women [talking] about a movie that’s so important and moving and beautiful, it’s been a wow moment for me,” Selena explained. “I definitely didn’t expect all of what’s happening. It just feels like a time in my life that I’m extremely grateful for. Honestly, every day I wake up thinking, ‘How did I get to do this?’”
