From House Beautiful

Yesterday, Selena Gomez dropped the music video for her new song “De Una Vez” —and we cannot bring ourselves to stop watching it, simply because we’re obsessed with the decor seen throughout. Whether it’s the blue tiled bathroom walls, the parade of antique and Tiffany-style lamps in the living room, or the butterfly-shaped brass bed frame, we’re undeniably in love with the interior design of this house. Below, House Beautiful takes a look at all six of these whimsical rooms, breaking down what we love most about each space.

The Bedroom

Much like Selena Gomez’s bedroom in this music video, my childhood bedroom boasted an antique brass bed frame that was painted white—except mine did not resemble the shape of a butterfly, unfortunately, nor did my room possess a literal flowerbed (which is probably for the best). And Selena definitely makes the case for investing in satin sheets and pillowcases, which just so happen to perfectly match her dainty attire.

The Living Room

Design lovers likely instantly noticed—and coveted—the impressive array of Tiffany-style lamps seen throughout Selena’s living room—and naturally, we want all of them. With this many lamps in one room, we imagine the electricity bill isn’t something we can afford, but this scene has convinced us that we should at least aspire to this level of vintage lamp collecting.

The Kitchen

I’m a staunch advocate for wearing attire that matches the interiors of your home (both the Bridgertons and Featheringtons make the case for this phenomenon in Netflix’s Bridgerton)—and Selena Gomez seems to have gotten the same memo. I, too, would love to frolic around while wearing a puff sleeve floral dress in a house that’s swathed in botanic wallpaper and framed flower prints at seemingly every turn. The Cesca chairs add just the right amount of texture—and who doesn't love a touch of wicker!

The Sitting Room

The sitting room might just be my favorite space from this dreamy music video—and I’m particularly obsessed with the window panels that resemble stained glass in the glossy, vibrant hue of Jolly Ranchers. Once again, we see what appears to be an antique 1920s-style lamp, which I would happily display—and marvel at—in my living room. And that bamboo couch with floral cushions? It makes me want to move to Florida and live the life of a retired snowbird who spends all of her time scouring antique and thrift shops in search of the perfect vintage wicker throne.

The Bathroom

The video bathroom probably—and maybe somewhat eerily—resembles your grandmother’s house. And although tiled walls and a floral toilet seat cover (which has a matching foot mat, no less!) may sound too dated to be chic, we honestly love the vibe of this old-timey bathroom. Personally, it reminds me of my great aunt’s house, wherein the bathroom was painted bubblegum pink—complete with a matching vanity. It was Instagrammable before Instagram was a thing.

The Miscellaneous Room

What is this space? Is it a living room that's yet to be unpacked? Is it that one designated room full of stuff that we all have somewhere in out homes? Whatever it is, we're getting major retro vibes with the 70s-style wood paneling, thick rug, and vintage suitcases. IF Selena's moving out, we'll move in!
