Selena Gomez Had a Hollywood Starlet Moment in a Black Column Gown With Silver Roses

Selena Gomez channeled classic movie star glamour at the Academy Museum Gala on Sunday night (November 3), wearing a black Valentino column gown with black opera gloves, a silver rose necklace, and Tamara Mellon shoes. She had her hair styled in a slick bun and kept her makeup subdued with light eyeshadow and a peach lip.

This is Sel's first big red carpet appearance since she attended her brand Rare Beauty’s first Rare Impact Fund gala back in October. The actor wore three different looks there, and notably, one of them *also* had a silver floral detail and was from Valentino:

Selena has had a more low-key fall and was seen in Paris just last week. She wore Valentino during one outing there—specifically a blazer coat from the French fashion house.

A source spoke with Entertainment Tonight around the same time about the celeb's current outlook on dating. “Selena is casually dating and doing well,” the source said. “She is doing her own thing and doesn’t feel any sort of pressure to be in a relationship. She is just focusing on what’s best for her right now and has been very in tune with maintaining her own boundaries. Her friends and family support her and just want her to be happy.”

Sel got fan attention today when she seemingly confirmed that things went well with a crush she had. A Selena Gomez fan account noted that she'd discussed having a love interest during a holiday special of Selena + Chef that she filmed a couple months ago.

“This episode was filmed months ago so we hope things went well with Selena and her crush,” the fan account shared. Oh, and Sel liked the post and commented a winky face.
