Lighthouses are some of the most photogenic landmarks around, and vacationers flock in droves to see these stalwart towers that help protect those at sea from running into land. And while lighthouses are adored for their outer beauty, the insides were really just meant to be seen by the keepers and caretakers who would climb their twisty stair cases to the top. Many lighthouses will let you climb inside to see the amazing view from the top (though a lot are currently closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic).
