Anok Yai Shares The One Product that Cleared Her Acne

From Harper's BAZAAR

Supermodel Anok Yai stars in our latest episode of Go to Bed with Me and lets us in on all her skin care tricks and tips for maintaining her glowing, runway-worthy visage.

"As much as I like to pretend that I do it every day, I probably do this three times a week," Yai says of her skin care routine. "Because I have a really bad habit of falling asleep with my makeup on. During Fashion Week, I'm usually up by 5, 6 a.m., and then I go to sleep around midnight, or 1. So I don't really have the energy to take my makeup off."

From novel gems like the Herbivore Jade Facial Roller to lip-smacking classics like a tub of Vaseline, the Estée Lauder spokesmodel divulges all. You can shop her routine below.

Yai begins by cutting off a small piece of a bar of raw African black soap to cleanse her face. "I found out about African black soap from my mom," the model says. "I had a lot of acne when I was younger. So I got this, and it cleared my face. It's really good for exfoliating, I swear by it." She follows it up with Estée Lauder's Cleansing Balm.

"Since I travel a lot, my skin gets really, really dry," Yai says. When she's not strutting down a catwalk, she's often on a plane, which she says sucks the moisture out of her skin.

Her solution? Estée Lauder's PowerFoil Mask. Though its aluminum exterior is working to renew the look of the face, the skin care layman may find the optics of the silver cover-up jarring. "Backstage at a show, people will see me with this mask on and they think that I am insane," Yai says. "But my skin looks poppin'."

Watch the video above to see how Yai incorporates the rest of her favorite beauty products into her skin care routine.
