Second man charged after three injured in Clapham firearm incident following moped crash
A second teenager has been charged after three people were injured in an incident following a police chase in Clapham.
A moped that was being chased by police hit a pedestrian, before a firearm was reportedly dropped to the floor where it discharged.
Three people were injured in the incident, which happened on Friday, March 1.
Brolyn Dangi, 18, of Unwin Road, Hounslow, was arrested on Tuesday, and was on Wednesday charged with aggravated vehicle taking and ‘possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life/enabling another to do so’.
Keymarni King, 18, of Cromer Road, Tooting, was arrested on March 4.
He was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life/enabling another to do so, aggravated vehicle taking and injury caused by an accident, and two counts wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.
Both men appeared before Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
They were remanded in custody to next appear at Inner London Crown Court on Wednesday, April 3.
According to the Met police, officers were chasing two people riding a moped that failed to stop in the Clapham area on March 1.
“The moped collided with a pedestrian, and crashed,” said a police spokesperson.
“A firearm was reported to have been dropped and discharged as it hit the ground.”
All three people injured in the incident have been released from hospital.
