‘What If…?’ Season 2 Gets Holiday Premiere Date At Disney+; New Trailer Gives Sneak Peek At Multiversal Chaos

Marvel fans have one more thing to celebrate this holiday season.

Season 2 of the animated series What If…? is set to debut December 22 on Disney+. In the spirit of the holiday season, the streamer will be releasing the episodes one at a time over the course of nine nights.

A trailer released on Wednesday, which is embedded above, gives a glimpse at some of the crevices of the multiverse that the upcoming season will explore. As The Watcher puts it, things have “gotten a little twisted.”

Season two of What If…? continues the journey as The Watcher guides viewers through the vast multiverse, introducing brand new and familiar faces throughout the MCU. The series questions, revisits and twists classic Marvel Cinematic moments with an incredible voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their iconic roles.

This season is expected to feature characters including Nebula, Hela and Happy Hogan.

Jeffrey Wright stars as the Watcher, who narrates the series, alongside several MCU film actors reprising their roles.

Episodes are directed by executive producer Bryan Andrews with executive producer AC Bradley as head writer.
