Search And Rescue Team Continues Search for Survivors After Earthquake and Grace Hit Haiti

A search and rescue team from Fairfax, Virginia, continued the search for survivors under debris in Les Cayes, Haiti, on August 17 after Tropical Storm Grace had hit the country, days after a deadly earthquake.

According to Haiti’s civil protection agency 9,900 people were injured and more than 60,759 houses were destroyed in the earthquake.

Tropical Storm Grace hit Haiti with heavy rains and powerful wind on Tuesday, halting rescue operations. There are currently 65 urban search and rescue personnel deployed in Haiti.
