At least 22 people were killed as flooding hit the southern Iranian city of Estahban, the Red Crescent Society of Iran (IRCS) said on July 24.
A three-year-old boy was among the dead, the IRCS said. Efforts to locate a missing one-and-a-half-year-old girl were underway, according to IRCS. The Managing Director of the Fars Red Crescent provincial branch Hossein Darvishi said, “The Red Crescent relief workers saved 74 people from flooding. Two people are still missing.”
