Search Continues for Missing Toddler in Rural Tuscany

Italy’s national fire service said on June 23 that the search for a missing child was continuing in Palazzuolo sul Senio, north of Florence.

ANSA reported that the 21-month-old boy, named locally as Nicola Tanturli, was reported missing from his home in the mountain village of Campanara on June 22.

ANSA said it was thought the child got out of bed and left the house himself. The area surrounding the house is “isolated, difficult to access and surrounded by woods,” ANSA said. Credit: Vigili del Fuoco via Storyful
