Search continues for British tourist who went missing in Indonesia

British tourist Shaun Stephen Daly, 27, went missing on Saturday, August 28 at around 11 a.m. while swimming and diving for fish without wearing a life jacket in West Sumatra, Indonesia. The third day of the search operation by the SAR team continued August 31. The head of the Mentawai Islands SAR Office, Akmal, said the search throughout Tuesday had not been successful. The search will continue Wednesday. "Hopefully Wednesday's weather will support the operation, so the team can carry out a good search at several points in the planned area," said Akmal. The region Daly is lost in is famous for its rolling waves which are very popular with surfers. The waves in the Mentawai Islands are rated as the third-best after Hawaii and Tahiti. Daly is a British citizen domiciled in Australia.
