Sean Dyche instructs Everton to complete double signing of Serie A ‘jewels’ with Tottenham-linked star wanted
Sean Dyche wants Everton to land two players from Serie A club Udinese in the summer transfer window, according to a report.
A large part of Everton’s summer transfer strategy will depend on which league they are playing in next season. If they fail to drag themselves out of the relegation zone, then this will significantly weaken their ability to sign top players. But if Dyche manages to drag them safety, as he has been brought in to do, then the club can make a start on that much-needed squad rebuild.
The early signs look positive for Dyche. During his three matches as Everton boss, the Toffees have won twice and lost once. They began his reign by pulling off a shock 1-0 victory over Premier League leaders Arsenal.
Everton were then beaten 2-0 by Liverpool in the Merseyside derby, but they did excellently to respond to that defeat and win 1-0 against Leeds United the next time out.
That result saw Everton move up to 16th place, while Leeds have been dragged into the bottom three.
And Everton staying in the top flight could result in them signing Udinese pair Beto and Rodrigo Becao.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Udinese, Dyche is pushing the Everton board to sign the two players at once.
And it seems the manager could get his way, with Everton supposedly planning a €35million (£30.8m) bid for both of them.
Everton to raid Udinese for top assets
Striker Beto and centre-half Becao are described as two of Udinese’s ‘jewels’. But it will be tough for them to turn down that offer from Everton.
The double move could be a clever piece of business from Dyche. Beto is a good Serie A goalscorer who should help to provide more threat in attack.
He was recently labelled a ‘premium’ striker, with a report from Spain telling Everton they must ‘break the bank’ to sign him. And it looks like a £30.8m proposal will do the trick for both Beto and his defensive team-mate.
Becao was on Tottenham’s radar in the build up to the January window. But Spurs hesitated and did not swoop in for the Brazilian, which could result in him going to Goodison Park instead.
Should the double transfer go through, then Beto will compete with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Neal Maupay for a place up front. It should not be too hard for him to get in the starting eleven given the fact Calvert-Lewin and Maupay have only managed two goals between them this campaign.
Becao may find it harder to pick up regular game time. Defence looks set to be Everton’s strong suit under Dyche, with Conor Coady and James Tarkowski his preferred centre-back pairing. But Becao will be a good back-up option if either of those two pick up injuries.
