Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly beat up his ex Kim Porter’s boyfriend in 2000.

On Tuesday, May 28, Rolling Stone published accounts gathered from various figures in Combs’ circle who claim Combs broke a chair over the head of Combs’ ex Kim Porter’s boyfriend, music executive Shakir Stewart. Porter died of lobar pneumonia in 2018, and Stewart died by suicide in 2008, per Variety.

Combs and Porter first connected in 1994 and dated on and off until 2007. Their relationship concluded when the late model learned Combs had fathered daughter Chance with Sarah Chapman while she was pregnant with their twin daughters, D'Lila and Jessie.

But in 2000, Porter dated late music executive Shakir Stewart, which ultimately angered the rapper. That summer, Combs, Porter and Stewart were in Italy for L.A. Reid’s wedding. And at the time of the event, the rapper reportedly went to Stewart’s room after the ceremony and allegedly broke a chair over the executive’s head, Stewart’s mother and close friends told Rolling Stone.

“He left him bleeding on a hotel floor in Italy,” Stewart’s mother, Portia, reportedly told Rolling Stone. “He had to have stitches and then [Combs] threatened him … ‘I’m going to kill you’ … That’s when I said you need to get out of this business. This man is crazy.”

Additionally, Porter previously told Essence that while the couple were separated and he was dating Jennifer Lopez, Combs would call Porter “50, 60 times a day,” adding, “It was like my life was not my own.… He was very, very intrusive.”

Rolling Stone also reported on claims that Combs physically abused Porter throughout their relationship. “I remember Kim used to go through a lot of stuff,” former Bad Boy rapper Mark Curry told the outlet. “If you live around them, you get to see the toxic relationship.…  I think every relationship he had that I experienced around him was like that.”

The recent exposé follows several allegations against the musician detailing physical and sexual abuse, as well as sex trafficking allegations. More recently, on May 23, April Lampos and her attorneys alleged in a new lawsuit obtained by PEOPLE that Combs committed battery, sexual assault, negligent infliction of emotional distress and violation of the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Law.

Lampos detailed four “terrifying sexual encounters” that she had with Combs. One also involved Porter, in which Lampos alleged the rapper forced her to take “ecstasy” and have sex with Porter, adding that Porter "retaliated" and that she and Combs got her fired from a job.

Lampos’ recent filing comes after Combs’ ex Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura released a statement following the publication of a video that showed her being physically abused by Combs in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.

In addition to Lampos and Ventura, the rapper faces sexual assault/harassment lawsuits from four other women and one man.

Combs has denied all allegations, saying in a statement obtained by PEOPLE in December: "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy."

"Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth," he added.

Combs did admit to and apologize for his conduct on a surveillance video released by CNN on May 17 showing Diddy grabbing, shoving and kicking his ex-girlfriend singer Cassie during a 2016 altercation.

"I was f---ed up. I mean I hit rock bottom but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video," he said on Instagram. He captioned the post, "I'm truly sorry."
