Seal and Dog Play Fetch, Form Friendship on Santa Cruz Beach
A seal who lives at a beach in Santa Cruz, California, has befriended a local dog named Moe, and the unlikely pair were captured on video by Moe’s owner as he played fetch with them.
Footage recorded by surf photographer David Nelson shows Moe and the seal bouncing through the waves, chasing after a ball thrown by Nelson.
Nelson told Storyful: “The seal comes down often to check out Moe.”
The video shows the seal approaching the shoreline as Nelson tosses the ball. The seal jumps into the air attempting to beat Moe to the ball, but the dog wins and brings it back to Nelson. Credit: David Nelson via Storyful
