From ELLE

On her first week, Seahorse busted out Rihanna's "Only Girl in the World" in a bright costume with matching boots and cacti backup dancers. She hit some serious notes and made everyone on the panel wonder if they had a real chart-topper on their hands. "We got a pop princess in the building," host Nick Cannon said as the song came to a close. Nicole Scherzinger predicted that Seahorse could win the whole season.

"The Sun is very strong; she's a good competitor against her, but I have a feeling...," McCarthy said.

"It's so fun to just have this alter-ego, honestly," the contestant said. "Something about putting a mask on, you just get to let it shine."

The panelists were stumped. McCarthy said she thought this person could be "one of the biggest artists ever." And, as the weeks went on and Seahorse busted out "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion and "...Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears, this opinion—from panelists and fans alike—hasn't changed.

During the Group B clues package, we hear from Seahorse’s “spiritual advisor,” and fans think this could be a reference to the fact that she makes gospel music. Specifically, the signs point to Tori Kelly—above all, commenters think the singer tried too hard to imitate Britney and there’s no mistaking this diva’s specific voice. Tonight, Seahorse will perform alongside Crocodile, Jellyfish, Mushroom, Popcorn, and Sun in the Super Six, and three contestants will be revealed. So it might not be long before we find out if we’re right.

Here are all the fan guesses for Seahorse throughout the season.

The most popular fan theory for Seahorse is Tori Kelly, who was a semifinalist on American Idol in 2010. She also dropped a Christmas album on October 30, so it would make sense that she'd go on this show for a little promotion right now. She also covered "Only Girl in the World" when she was a teen, so her choice of song could be a little shout-out to that, and her "Rainbow Connection" performance with Kermit the Frog in 2016 hints at the rainbow frog from the clues package.

Another fan theory is that Halle Bailey, one-half of Chloe x Halle, is the Seahorse. She is set to star in Disney's live-action The Little Mermaid as Ariel, the lead. There's a clue in the package—"living in the ocean can be dangerous"—which could reference the queen of undersea teenage angst, Ariel.

McCarthy thought the rainbow frog might point to the artist being a big icon in the LGBTQ+ community. She also noticed the clue "fire burning inside" and thought there was a connection with Halsey's song, "Angel Burning Inside."

Bebe Rexha

Scherzinger's guess was Hailee Steinfeld, but with the surprise reveal of Mickey Rourke on week two, the Oscar nominee quota for the show was filled. Panelist Robin Thicke went with Bebe Rexha.

Emily Blunt

One of the clues in the Seahorse's package refers to "a quiet place to hide." Could this have anything to do with A Quiet Place? And we know Blunt can sing. She was Mary Poppins in 2018, but her performance on Lip Sync Battle in 2015 was a real showcase of her true performance potential.
