Seabird Refuses to Leave Fisherman's Head in Queensland, Australia

Thomas Jones, a fisherman in Queensland, Australia, realized he was no longer on a solo fishing trip one day in late September when he felt a “flutter of wings and a gentle weight land on my head” as he was in his boat near Swains Reef.

As the black noddy first perched on his hat, Jones told Storyful he attempted to stay very still as he did not know what “the bird’s reaction would be to my movements.”

The bird seemingly adjusted to Jones’s movements so well that he was able to pet it and even managed to operate his boat without the bird exiting his head.
