More than one hundred sea turtles were returned to the Gulf of Mexico on February 22 by the Texas State Aquarium after being cold-stunned by a record-breaking winter storm the week before.
Assisted by the US Coast Guard and Texas Game Wardens, the marine creatures were ferried out to sea before being released over the side of the vessel. The aquarium planned to release hundreds more the following days, according to a Facebook post.
