School Closures in Massachusetts Amid 'Arctic Blast'

Temperatures in Massachusetts plummeted on January 10-11 as an “Arctic blast” moved over the state, with subzero wind chills. A number of schools, including all public schools in Boston and Worcester, said they would close for the day, or start late.

According to reports, Tuesday was set to be the coldest day in nearly three years in the Boston area.
