Save your floors! These genius 'As Seen On TV' furniture leg protectors are down to about $1 a pop
Wouldn't you like to say goodbye to scratch marks and scuffs on your hardwood once and for all? Whether you’re moving into a new house or have parquet floors you’ve been babying for years, it's time to consign those old-timey felt furniture feet pads to the dustbin of history. There’s a better solution that Amazon shoppers swear by — As Seen On TV's Ruby Sliders — and right now you can get them on sale for just $10 for an 8-pack.
Protect your floors — and your sanity — with these chair and table feet covers.
Why is it a good deal? 💰
Even at the regular price of $15, these Ruby Sliders are a bargain and a small price to pay to keep your floors pristine. And at $10 for a pack of eight, that means these sliders are less than $1 each.
Why do I need it? 🤔
The main reason people use furniture foot pads is to protect hardwood floors. Kind of like slippers for the feet of your couch, chair or TV stand, these slip-on pads are made of silicone that caps the legs of your furniture with a soft felt pad on its "sole." They’re meant to fit snugly so they — and your furniture — will move as one across your floors. All the while, they'll be protecting your floors and the bottom of your furniture.
But they do more than protect! The noise chairs make when pulled across the floor is like nails on a chalkboard to some people, but shoppers say these sliders take away the irritating sound, allowing everything to slide softly.
What reviewers are saying 💬
Amazon customers are enamored with these problem solvers. These gadgets have received nearly 17,000 five-star ratings — and not for all the same reasons.
Pros 👍
“No more polishing my hardwood floors,” wrote a happy reviewer. “What an easy solution! I just slipped on the sliders and now my furniture slides across our hardwood floors. Not only do they save my floors, but since I live in a second-floor apartment, I think my neighbors appreciate the quiet, too. No more listening to all that scratching back and forth.”
“These are fabulous!” gushed another five-star fan. “I thought they would be hard to put on the rectangular legs of my dining room chairs, but they go on pretty easily! Have held up well under a lot of weight and sliding in and out several times a day. Great protection for my 100-year-old-plus dining room flooring!"
“Very easy to install, no tools needed,” a satisfied shopper shared. “It ended the scratches to my wood floor caused by the plastic-like protectors that came on the chairs. The chairs glide smoothly now. The only small issue is that the clear material seems to 'yellow' a bit over time, but the protection provided outweighs that.”
Cons 👎
As far as downsides go, one shopper said, "These work pretty well. Our only issue is that they pull off from time to time if the chair is moved frequently. We could fix that by using a heat gun and shrinking the sliders onto the legs of the chairs as prescribed in the instructions. We chose not to do that as we did not want to mess up the chairs."
Other reviewers wished that the bottoms of these slides were clear instead of colored, but it wasn't a big deal for most shoppers. A four-star reviewer wrote, "It would be nice if they weren’t red on the bottom, but you can’t see most of the color on the bottom of the chair leg."
Another agreed: "Our chairs kept getting stuck in the tile grout. It was super annoying. These allow the chair to easily slide over the dip where the grout is. I don't love the look with the clear and then red felt but the chairs not moving was much worse."
With Ruby Sliders, your chairs and tables glide across the floor!
