Max Verstappen will be on pole later today in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Once again, F1 will race on a Saturday due to the start of Ramadan and Verstappen already looks set to build on his early championship lead after qualifying fastest.
The Dutchman cruised to victory in Bahrain ahead of team-mate Sergio Perez, who won at Jeddah Corniche Circuit last year and will start the race this year third on the grid.
One driver who won’t be featuring is Carlos Sainz, who requires surgery for appendicitis and will be replaced in his Ferrari by British teenager Oliver Bearman. The 18-year-old qualified 11th, just missing out on a place in Q3.

Jeddah is set to be hot and dry for the race, with the temperature and the potential for some fairly strong winds the biggest threats to drivers.
