Rudolph — who previously served as an SNL cast member for seven years, and now leads Apple TV+’s Loot — is up first, hosting the May 11 installment. It will be her third time hosting, while Vampire Weekend will be back for their fourth appearance as musical guest.
Gyllenhaal, also back for his third turn as host, will then preside over the May 18 season finale, in support of his upcoming Apple series Presumed Innocent. (Watch a trailer here.) Girl Meets World actress-turned-pop songstress Sabrina Carpenter will perform as musical guest for the first time.
In the meantime, singer Dua Lipa is preparing to pull double duty on the upcoming May 4 episode, where she’ll serve as host and musical guest.
The late-night sketch comedy series has been on a brief hiatus since its April 13 outing, which was hosted by Ryan Gosling and became the most-watched SNL episode in more than two years.
