Once the episode landed on streaming, it became Peacock’s highest performing SNL episode in its first two days of viewing.

On social media, the episode is also spreading like wildfire. NBCU says that it has 516M views across social platforms, with 415M of those views attributed to in-show content, including sketches and musical performances.

Jean Smart and Jelly Roll kicked off Season 50 of SNL last month with the sketch comedy’s best season opener since 2020.

The milestone season continues October 19 with host Michael Keaton and musical guest Billie Eilish, just in time for Halloween. After that, John Mulaney and musical guest Chappell Roan take on the pre-election show on November 2.

The celebration is continuing into next year, as SNL has a live primetime special planned for February 16 to cap off the 50th anniversary.

Saturday Night Live is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
