Satellite Shows Sun Rising on 'Diminishing Nor'easter'

A powerful nor’easter storm continued its path northward over the northeastern United States on Wednesday, March 15, satellite imagery shows.

Visuals shared by the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) at Colorado State University shows the sun rising “on a diminishing nor’easter” on Wednesday morning.

The storm had previously carried an “impressive and classic look” as it moved along the northeastern coastline between March 13 and March 15, CIRA said. Credit: CIRA via Storyful
