Satellite Imagery Shows Scale of Flooding Along New Jersey's Raritan River

Satellite imagery released by Maxar Technologies shows the scale of flooding along the Raritan River in New Jersey on September 2.

Maxar Technologies said the images taken before the flooding were captured on July 14, 2020, and August 25 this year, with a contrast between the levels of the river starkly conveyed by the images taken in the flood’s wake.

At least 43 people were killed by the severe flooding caused by remnants of Hurricane Ida across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut, according to local reports.. Credit: Maxar Technologies via Storyful
